I really need to stop forgetting this...

Okay. So once again I have skipped half a years blog entries. I would really like to keep up with this. I guess that just means that I am not a great blogger. Oh well. I am back for the time being

So. Since my last post, a lot has happened I guess. I ended up going to camp. However, I only lasted about 3 weeks total. (including lifeguard training). My body just couldn't handle it. I started to have Lupus flairs and it just wore me out. I couldn't take the heat, lack of sleep and being on my feet all day. I am very upset and disappointed in myself for giving that up. But I have to keep telling myself that it wasn't my fault. I just wish I could have taken in the whole experience. However, the time I did spend there was wonderful. I made friends and great memories.

Me with my cabin counselors. Love these girls.

I ended up coming home and getting a job at PetSmart in Lewisville just like I originally wanted. It is the best location I have worked at so far. Great co-workers and customers, and the store is easily maintained since it is brand new. However, I am getting to the point to where I am just plain tired of being there. My being on my feet so much and doing so much heavy lifting and straining my body is hard. So I am currently looking for a sit-down office type job. I have actually applied for around 17 jobs so far. In which I have received no calls whatsoever. So, all I can do is tough it out, keep applying, and pray for an opportunity to present itself. I have faith that one of these days, I will get a higher paying job that is also easier on me health wise. I am sure it'll happen. I will HATE leaving there because it really is a great work environment and my bosses treat me wonderfully. However, I really need to put my feelings aside and do what is best for me in the long run. That is most important.

David and I are in our very own apartment. We have been here about 3 months or so, and we are absolutely loving it. I am very much enjoying our lovely life together here. We also have a cat (Loki) whom we both adore and whom is spoiled beyond reasoning. He was my Graduation present from David just like he promised. I spent weeks searching for the perfect kitty and I found him online with Flower Mound Humane Society. I put in an application, met up with him and his foster mom, and we hit it off right away. He is absolutely perfect for us. We are a little family which I love. I wouldn't trade any of this for anything.

Loki on the first day we got him (about 4 months old here)

Recent picture of Loki (he is about 7 months now)

More pictures of him because he is so photogenic!

Thanksgiving was great. David and I both went to my grandparents in Louisiana. I have to admit I was nervous because so much drama has been going on in my family that I was worried things would be awkward. But they weren't, things went well and it was nice to see family and it was nice having David experience it as well.

I am extremely excited to began decorating for Christmas soon. I am wanting David and I to make a day of it, and make apple cider and cookies and listening to Christmas music while decorating. I am also looking forward to seeing how Loki takes to all this Christmas decor. This is my absolute favorite season! I always feel so happy and cheerful during this season.

Tomorrow is mine and Davids 2 years of being a couple, and it is very exciting. It is quite a milestone in our relationship seeing as we have now been together longer than with any of our ex's. I bought him a gift that expresses our love and I do hope he likes it. It will be coming in late since I just bought it online today, however it gives us something to look forward to this week. I believe we will be going our to dinner this week to celebrate.

True Love

Anyway. I guess that is the gist of all that has happened since May. For the most part life is great right now. And I believe it will only get better.

I'm hoping to keep this up a bit longer this time around. =]

My Graduation present from David!!

I totally forgot to mention what my graduation present is from David!! So, a few days ago, he gives me a graduation card, and as I read it, it begins to say something about getting a kitten for our new apartment in Aug!!! I WAS SOO EXCITED! So, we get to get a kitty for our very own when we move in! I already have a friend who has kittens that will need homes, and by that point, they will be 12 weeks, which will be perfect! =D They are black and white, black and tabby. We were thinking of getting 2 kitties and naming them Loki and Thor (from the marvel comic/new movie ((We had just seen the movie and thought of the names))). LOL Wouldn't that be so cool?

Oh, and this coming Saturday, we are getting together with my parents to celebrate my graduation. And I am quite certain that my present will be an Iphone from mom. lol She says I know what it will be, so therefore it must be an Iphone. I can't wait to get it! My phone SUCKS!

Also, Sunday morning, I will be leaving for Lifeguard Training for camp. I have to get up at about 5am and leave because it takes 5 1/2 hours to get there, and we need to be there by noon. I will only be there for 4 days, then I'll be back for a week, then I will be leaving again for the 2 months.

I gotta say there are some days when I feel sad about leaving for camp. And I actually regret applying. I kinda wish I didn't cause then me and David could be moving into our really nice apartment now, and I could just go work at PetSmart and all. But there are also days when I am excited to try something new. It will be a good experience and I am sure I won't regret it afterwards. I just REALLY hope those 2 months go by fast!!!

Packing Packing Packing.

The last few days, David and I have been packing all of our things. I sure have a LOT more crap than I thought I had. I am soo tired of packing. I am ready to be DONE! Tomorrow, David and I are getting a u-haul to bring all of our things to Don, Jon and Wes's house (which is where David will be living this summer while I am working at camp). All of our things will stay in boxes there until we move into our Apartment in August.

Here is a pic of what we have packed so far. Keep in mind that doesn't include our desks, bed, entertainment center, bookshelves and other miscellaneous items still in our bedroom, closet and bathroom.

I add a pic just cause posts are BORING without one! =]

Thursday, May 12th : David turned 24!

On Thursday, it was David's birthday! At 12:00am, I had balloons and decorations ready for him for when he got home from work to surprise him. I also had his cake baked, which was strawberry with vanilla icing.
The next morning, I left him some happy birthday notes before I left for school. He read them after he woke up. <3
That night, I surprised David by bringing him to Pete's Dueling Piano Bar, which is a GREAT place that is TONS of fun! I think David had a great time. The friends who went were Ricky, Drew, Emiko, Oscar, George, Jon, Melissa, and my mom.
Here are some pictures to show how much fun it was!

Tuesday, May 17th : Apartment search COMPLETE!

Today! David and I went to Lewisville today to search for an apartment for August. We left at 11:00am, and didn't finish till 8pm. We looked at about 9 apartment complexes. However, the last one we looked at, called Chapel Hill Apartments, was the one we picked. It was amazing! Not only was the apartment floor plans awesome, but the amenities are great!!! I have my hopes high for this place and I am hoping that this place is as good as it seems.

The one we picked is called Bryson, and it is a 1bed1bath w/ study. It is 877sqft and has patio and fireplace and full size washer/dryer connections. The bathroom seems really big and the overall layout seems great. (we didn't get to see this particular one, only the bigger one).
Here is a pic:

The community seems AWESOME! There are SO many Amenities!! Here is a list: 9 swimming pools!! Racquetball Court, Free extended cable!!, Tanning beds, Billiards/shuffle board, 2 Jacuzzis, Cyber café with 6 computers, 2 coffee bars, Outdoor fire place, Basketball Court, Clubhouse for parties, 2 big screen movie theaters! Tennis courts, Sand volleyball court, 2 FREE Car washes with vacuums, Flowing river, Playground, Fitness center (The Zone), Jogging trails, Storage units, Carports, Garages, TWO 1 Acre dog parks, Picnic grounds, 7 Hole putting green, Sports bar with Direct TV, Pond with BBQ pits, Dry sauna, Aerobic center, Massage room, Darts, Foosball, Frisbee golf, and daily curbside trash pick up!!

We signed the lease today! And move in on August 8. I sure hope that everything turns out great!!

Another great this is that the Lewisville PetSmart is RIGHT down the street, and I will be talking to the manager (which is Brad! A manager I had at the Irving PetSmart) about getting a job. (I will be also be subbing while finishing my teaching certificate)

Anyways...I am sooo excited! I still can't believe David and I are getting our own place. It is going to be awesome. It was a great feeling signing that lease next to him!!!
